Good and Bad

The results for University Dormitory is out.
I was not selected.
Means I do not get a place into the dorm.
Huhu~
So I need to rent an apartment outside.
Hmm...I went through few websites....
Keep searching for the one I like the most which has good location with reasonable price.

And I went to JCSS to collect my JLPT N1 cert today.
I think my luck was exhausted when sitting for this exam.
Whew, I feel so lucky that I finally passed this tough exam ^.^

And tomorrow will be my last working day in Singapore.
Gonna leave this place soon.
With cheers and tears.

And another chapter of my life is waiting for me....

Hotel Booking Done

What is your preferable hotel booking method?
Until now, I still prefer to book hotel using AirAsiaGo.
http://airasiago.com/
The main reason is I could pay using direct debit from my local bank. ( I prefer to pay in advance)
So that I do not worry about the reservation.
Especially if you are at foreign country, you do not need to pay by cash or credit card when check-in the hotel.
(Coz the amount I can swipe for my supplementary credit card is not much, and is quite insecure to carry bulky cash with me during travel.)
It's quite reliable.

Hmm...But may be when I were in Japan, I need to use alternative method for hotel booking.
I heard that Rakuten Travel is quite a reliable site for hotel booking too.
http://travel.rakuten.com/

After few weeks of survey and comparison, I decided to book a hotel near Yokohama.
I will be staying at hotel temporarily before entering hostel or get a permanent place to stay in Japan. ( hopefully I get a place in the hostel, result will be announced on 28th).

I will be staying at Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama Koen.
http://www.daiwaroynet.jp/yokohama-koen/
Love this hotel at the first sight!
The price is quite reasonable for a highly rated hotel like this.
(And its quite peak season the time I go to Japan, coz it's cherry blossom season)
And I love its location, which is near to Yamashita Park, Osanbashi Pier, Yokohama Chinatown and Minato Mirai. And it's located beside Yokohama Stadium.

Read for more reviews from Tripadvisor.

Doutor Coffee in Singapore

I'm gonna blog about famous coffee chain store in Japan, Doutor Coffee!
They had their first franchise in Singapore, located at
12 Marina Boulevard Singapore 018982,
Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 3, #01-05
 photo DSC00476_zps191c5f02.jpg

The location is nice for those who are working around Marina Bay but not for me ~.~
I purposely survey and went to the shop immediately after work.
And I almost get lost coz it was my first time to MBFC.
So confusing coz they have tower 1,2 and 3.

It's located in the middle of 3 MRT station, which are Raffle's Place MRT, Marina Bay MRT and Bayfront MRT.
5-10minutes walking distance from either one of the MRT station above.
Maybe you can check for any bus service that directly access to MBFC. I am not so sure about that.

Doutor's freshly Brewed Coffee and Mille Crepe ^.^

 photo DSC00479_zpsef93c724.jpg

I was hesitating between Mille Crepe and Mont Blanc.
I can't have two at one time.
So at last, I decided to give up Mont Blanc and tried their Mille Crepe.
Fresh and not so sweet.
Won't feel bored with the taste.
I could finish the whole piece of Mille Crepe by my own ^.^

While I was having coffee and Mille crepe in their shop, one guy came and asked for all Mille Crepe.
7 pcs left at the shop, i guess.
And the guy just grab all the Mille Crepe and go~
Huhu~

And something to add,
free ice water with lemon slice at the same counter which serves sugar, honey and stuff.
So help yourself with them as you like :-)
And they have a special place to return the tray.

Japanese style u know!

Hope they can have more and more franchise in Singapore.

Pecori 卵料理専門店 @ Liang Court, Singapore (Basement floor)

For your information, Omuraisu ( Omelette Rice) is one of my favorite food.
 photo DSC00335_zps0d8d788d.jpg
I tried out their demiglass sauce omu rice @ SGD12.50!
Acceptable price. And it tastes good too!
Really Japanese Quality as stated on their board!
Worth a try!
Will try their tomato sauce omu rice next time!

Until now, I had 3 times of Omurice in Japan.
The 1st time was at a shop named Om's Dining at Shinsaibashi, Osaka.
I loved their fuwatoro omurice.
Refer to my old post for more information :
I miss Omu-Rice

The 2nd try was at Apple Tree, Harajuku.
We went there during weekend and it was a long queue to get into the shop.
But it was really nice! Worth trying too!
Refer to older post:
http://ojyousama74.blogspot.com/2012/02/apple-tree-at-harajuku.html

And the third try was at a french casual dining restaurant at Shinjuku.(ROUMANTEI)
Their sauce was special.
Served as set, with salad and tiramisu.

Hunting for nice omu rice will definitely a must for my stay in Japan~
Hope to see more post about omurice on my own blog soon!
