May Disease

After Golden Week (a succession of holidays) is over, a symptom called, "Gogatsu byou/ May Disease " occurs to some Japanese people.

May Disease is defined as
"A feelling that students and workers get around the time of May. Freed from entrance exams or the burden of finding a job, they start to express a feelling of let down or loss of purpose. They become disillusioned and begin seeing the gap between reality and what they were hoping for. all these things cause them to fall into a mild state of depression."

This is a kind of sickness (but not a medical term) due to change in environment (for new student and fresh worker in the society) from April to May, and they being unadapted for it. The change makes a person feel tired or lowers their motivation and is usually diagnosed as an adjustment disorder.

Hmm.... I think I am still normal.
But seriously, it's hard to switch to study mood tomorrow after long vacation.
And I will have to attend a long-hour seminar tomorrow. It just sounds so tiring.
Anyway, I'm gonna get rid of those emotional stuff regarding to my country's democracy issue and going to my campus happily tomorrow!
